Our Mission
Theme parks represent the pinnacle of modern mechanical engineering, architectural storytelling, and visceral human entertainment. Yet for years, park travelers and coaster credit trackers had to jump between dozens of fragmented forums, manufacturer filing registries, and park apps just to find accurate ride intel.
Amusement Park Community was established to fix that fragmentation. Our mission is to deliver the most accurate, comprehensive, and real-time intelligence network for theme park travelers, roller coaster credit collectors, and industry watchers.
What Sets Amusement Park Community Apart
- Real-Time Telemetry: Live wait times, operational statuses, and mechanical specifications for 480+ flagship roller coasters across 98+ theme parks.
- Original Long-Form Guides: Comprehensive, tested touring strategies, ride hierarchy rankings, and in-depth reviews written by seasoned park travelers.
- Construction & Patent Watch: Ground-level photo dispatches, FAA crane permits, and patent filings covering major future expansions like Universal Epic Universe.
- Vibrant Community: Over 10,000 active members in our connected Facebook group and live on-site rider discussion threads.
How We Source & Verify Our Data
Accuracy is our bedrock. Our data engine processes information through a multi-tiered verification framework:
- Public Operating Telemetry: We interface with public theme park wait time data streams, updating our queue feeds every 60 seconds.
- Manufacturer Technical Filings: Coaster specifications (velocity, vertical drop, inversions, G-force ratings) are verified against official manufacturer documentation from Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), Intamin Amusement Rides, Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC), Mack Rides, Vekoma, and Great Coasters International (GCI).
- On-the-Ground Rider Intel: Verified community riders stationed across the country submit live ride conditions, breakdown updates, soft opening reports, and weather holds directly into our field log.
- Editorial Oversight: Our editorial team reviews, curates, and contextualizes breaking news, separating speculative rumors from validated park announcements.
